Kewl Spot: Chef Todd English’s Plaza Food Hall
One of my favorite cities in the world has just added one of the KEWLEST places to enjoy delicious, fresh food! Famed Chef Todd English has recently opened The Food Hall, located in the landmark Plaza Hotel in New York City. Just three days after the Plaza Food Hall opened, I was in New York and couldn’t wait to check it out!
Eating at the Food Hall reminded me of being at Harrod’s (a really kewl department store featuring Food Halls with incredible cuisine from all across the globe!) in London. Chef Todd English has created an amazing market-style atmosphere which includes an awesome healthy selection of sushi, sliders and burgers, a fresh seafood bar, a “dumpling bar,” pizza, salads, a noodle station, a really kewl dessert bar, and more! You can even shop for and pick up fresh fruits and vegetables, plus some of his kewl cooking tools and items!

The best part of the meal is that you can order any of the menu selections from any seat in the restaurant! Whether you’re relaxing at the pizza counter or chilling out in front of a huge selection of great sushi, you can indulge in whatever you want from any part of the really diverse menu, whether it’s Italian-style pizzas or salads featuring exotic seafood! I ate with a few friends at the sushi bar. We ordered a variety of dishes and the portions, and, because the portions are an excellent size, we shared them. Some included rotisserie chicken, vegetable dumplings with chicken and ginger and a lemongrass pesto, and lobster salad. Of course, we had a few kewl bites of the French Macaroons (two light, airy cookies glued together with yummy fillings!) were really good!
It was a great surprise and privilege to meet Chef Todd English himself while I was at his Plaza Food Hall! He’s really kewl and kind! If you’re in New York City, check it out and send me an email after you have a meal at Chef Todd English’s Food Hall at the Plaza Hotel!
